SAN FRANCISCO – The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team is just one win away from reaching the state championships after the No. 5-seeded Rams defeated No. 12 Sierra College by a final score of 82-64 on Saturday night in a second-round game of the Northern California Regional Playoffs.

CCSF, now 21-7 overall, will head north to No. 4-seed Folsom Lake College for a regional final game next Saturday (Mar. 9) at 7 p.m. Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.

On Saturday, the Rams set the tone early, outscoring Sierra 24-8 in the first quarter before cruising to the win. Deonna Mayfield came up big for CCSF as she posted 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Deadriana Prim provided a spark off the bench with 19 points and 8 boards. Madison Thomas and Aaliyah Dias both added 11 points each.

Folsom Lake, now 21-8, advanced with its 77-43 victory over No. 13 College of the Siskiyous. San Francisco and Folsom Lake will be meeting for the first time this season.

A win at Folsom Lake would send the Rams back to the state championship tournament for the first time since 2017. CCSF is in search of its first state title. The 3C2A State Championships are set for March 15-17 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
