NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PLAYOFF BRACKET

The postseason run towards a state championship for the City College of San Francisco men's basketball team will begin later this week. On Sunday, the Rams were named the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.

CCSF received a bye in the opening round and will host No. 18 Gavilan College in a second-round game on Saturday, March 2 at 7:30 pm. The contest will be a part of a playoff doubleheader as the Rams women's basketball team is also set to host a second-round game at 5:30 p.m.

Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game at Brad Duggan Court at the Wellness Center are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at the CCSF Tickets Page.

CCSF recently wrapped up its 13th consecutive Coast Conference North Division championship with an 11-1 record. The Rams enter the postseason with an impressive 23-5 overall mark and are 12-1 at home this season. CCSF closed out the regular season having won 10 straight games.

The Rams will look to return to the state championship tournament for the eighth straight season. Last year, CCSF was denied a shot at consecutive state titles after falling to Fullerton in the championship final. The Rams last won a state title in 2022 and have captured five in the program's history (1962, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2022).

No. 18 Gavilan was an 83-68 winner at No. 15 Comsumnes River College on Wednesday in its opening-round game. Gavilan, one of 11 Coast Conference schools to qualify for the postseason, is 13-16 and was fourth in the Coast South Division with a 6-6 mark.

Two wins are needed by the Rams to advance to the CCCAA State Championships on March 15-17 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
