SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco suffered its first Bay 6 League loss of the season after falling 51-7 to No. 3 state-ranked College of San Mateo on Saturday at George M. Rush Stadium.

CSM got on the board first, needing just two offensive plays to score a touchdown on its opening drive.

After the Rams first drive stalled out, CCSF took advantage of a fumble by San Mateo quarterback Dominic Ingrassia at his own 4-yard line to set up a touchdown. Two plays later, Rams quarterback Christian Banks connected with Richard Washington for an 8-yard TD reception at the 5:46 mark in the first to tie up the game at 7-7.

That would be all for CCSF as the Bulldogs went on the score 44 unanswered points.

The Rams offense was held to 161 yards. Banks completed 3 of 8 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Washington had 2 catches for 34 yards and a TD while Bryson Waterman led CCSF on the ground with 7 carries for 42 yards.

On defense, Jalen Camp and Kai Banks led the Rams with 6 tackles each. Elijah Lawson added a sack.

The Rams saw their two-game winning streak come to an end as CCSF fell to 2-6 overall and 2-1 in the Bay 6 League. The Rams will look to get back on track next Saturday (Nov. 9) when they travel to face Foothill College in a 1 p.m. Bay 6 game.
