After starting the season slow, the Rams have gotten hot at the right time. After opening the season 0-5, the Rams have found their way and have won their last two games.
CCSF is coming off a 38-7 win at Laney College last Friday. Running back Daytuawn Pearson had a huge game as he scored 3 rushing touchdowns over the first half to help CCSF get out in front early.
The Rams' defense was just as impressive in the contest as it totaled 4 sacks, 3 interceptions, and recovered a fumble.
San Mateo enters the contest riding a four-game winning streak and is ranked No. 3 in this week's CCCFCA State Poll. The Bulldogs cruised to a 49-14 win at home over Foothill College in its last game.
CSM totaled a season-high 483 yards of offense, including 151 rushing yards by running back Lolo Mataele.
San Mateo has won three of the last five meetings, including two straight. In 2021, the Rams beat the Bulldogs twice, winning 31-27 to capture the Bay 6 League title and again 20-17 in the Northern California Championship game.
Up next, CCSF travels to Foothill College for a league game on Nov. 9.
