Rams host Sequoias in 2024 home opener

City College of San Francisco make its 2024 home debut on Saturday (Sep. 14) when the Rams host College of the Sequoias in a non-league game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at George M. Rush Stadium.

General Admission - $12
Student, Seniors, Children 12 and Under - $8

The Rams are in search of their first win after suffering a 34-21 loss at Santa Rosa Junior College last Saturday in both teams' season opener. CCSF held a 21-14 advantage with 12:05 to go in the third but Santa Rosa went on to put together three scoring drives to pull out the win.

Daytuawn Pearson had a solid game on the ground for the Rams, running 17 times for 107 yards and touchdown. Eric Waugh, in his CCSF debut, completed 13 of 30 passes for 139 yards and a TD. Aden Jackson led San Francisco receivers with 4 catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.

On the defensive side, Jalen Camp had a huge game with 15 total tackles and a blocked field goal return for a touchdown. Leo Gallegos had 8 tackles and a forced fumble while Brayden Ellis totaled 5 tackles and a sack.

Sequoias is 0-1 to start the year as well after the Giants fell 35-18 to visiting American River College in Visalia. COS quarterback Reilly Garcia threw for 261 yards and 2 TDs.

Following Saturday's contest, the Rams host Butte College on Sep. 21 at 1 p.m.
