
FREMONT – It was another tough day for the City College of San Francisco women's volleyball team.
The Rams continue to battle but suffered a pair of losses at the Ohlone College tri on Saturday. CCSF dropped 3-0 matches to both Lassen Community College (25-22, 25-10, 25-16) and host Ohlone (25-23, 25-16, 25-15).
Mary Shunashi Hernandez-Elorza totaled 15 kills over the two matches to lead the Rams.
She opened the day with 8 kills, 2 digs, and 2 aces in the loss to Lassen. Maihli Hunkin led with 15 assists and 9 digs while Dayana Gonzalez added 3 kills and 6 digs.
Against Ohlone, Hernandez-Elorza paced the Rams with 7 kills and 9 digs. Gonzalez also had 7 kills to go with 7 digs. And Hunkin totaled 17 assists and 8 digs.
CCSF fell to 2-16 overall. The Rams will look to snap a seven-game losing streak when they host Gavilan College on Wednesday (Oct. 2) at 6:30 p.m.
