Season 2 under City College of San Francisco women's volleyball head coach Sifa Faaiu gets underway on Friday when the Rams officially open 2023 with a pair of non-conference matches at home.

The Rams will host Folsom Lake College and Los Medanos College in three-way action. CCSF opens the day at noon when it takes on Folsom Lake. That contest is followed by Folsom Lake vs. Los Medanos at 2 p.m. with the Rams closing out the event at 4 p.m. against Los Medanos.

Tickets to Friday's matches, as well as all CCSF women's volleyball home contests, will be sold online only at the Rams' tickets page. | TICKETS

Faaiu looks to build on a solid first season that saw the Rams compile a 9-10 overall record in 2022. CCSF started off hot, winning Faaiu's first five matches.

Just two players return from that squad. Faaiu will look to sophomores Kayla Mann (pictured, left) and Leanne Zhang (pictured, below) to provide leadership to a freshmen-heavy roster.

From the libero and defensive specialist positions, Mann ranked fourth on CCSF last year with 122 digs and ranked third with a 3.94 digs per set average. Zhang contributed 42 kills on offense at the middle blocker spot and totaled 16 blocks.

Following Friday, the Rams will hit the road for its next nine matches. CCSF heads to Sacramento City, Ohlone, Marin, and Skyline for tournament action. The Rams return home September 22 to host Las Positas College. San Francisco opens Coast Conference North Division play on October 11 at home vs. De Anza. | 2023 SCHEDULE
