The City College of San Francisco Women's Volleyball team defeated the Foothill College Owls in three sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-20) yesterday at CCSF's Brad Duggan Court.

The Rams dominated the first set of the match, but the following two sets were closely contested with CCSF and Foothill trading points back and forth. But the Rams stemmed the tide towards the end of both sets to seal the win, and in the process improved their season record to 8-5

The Rams leaned heavily on their dynamic front row led by the sister duo of sophomore Jennifer Quarters-Styles and Zellia Quarters-Styles. Jennifer went 18-for-22 on kill attempts and shared the team lead in digs with 10. Zellia led the team with 21 kills and finished second in digs with eight.

Setting up a majority of the scores for the Rams was sophomore Pamela Dungo. Pamela finished the match with an impressive 42 assists. She currently has 306 assists on the year

The Rams open conference play on October 4 at Chabot College. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
