SAN FRANCISCO – The City College of San Francisco women's soccer team got off to a slow start to open the 2023 season but it appears the Rams are starting to turn things around at the right moment.

CCSF compiled a 3-5 non-conference schedule but is off to a 2-0 start in Coast Conference play after cruising to an 11-0 victory over visiting Ohlone College on Tuesday. The Rams offense has exploded, outscoring its two conference opponents by a 17-1 margin.

On Tuesday, it was Melissa Cuevas who led the CCSF offense. She totaled a hat trick with 3 goals and added an assist in the Rams' dominant victory.

San Francisco held a commanding 5-0 advantage at halftime after a pair of goals by Daniela Del Carlo, and single tallies by Amelia Gale, Paige Pineda Aliamus, and Amaya Jarzombek.

Emma Colmenero got the scoring going in the second half before Cuevas broke free for three consecutive goals. Yvette Moreno and Fiorella Kennedy closed out the win with their late goals.

Paolina Molina had an easy time in goal, as she needed to make just one save to post the Rams' third shutout of the season.

CCSF, now 5-5 overall, returns to action on Friday (Oct. 6) when the Rams host West Valley College in a 1:30 p.m. Coast Conference game.
