
ROCKLIN – Deonna Mayfield had a game-high 21 points while Paris Kaea came off the bench to score 15 points to help lead City College of San Francisco to a 78-57 win over Sierra College on Saturday to close out the Sasha Brown Crossover. The two-day event was hosted by Sierra.
The victory came a day after the Rams suffered an 80-66 loss to Fresno City College to open the tourney on Friday.
CCSF had numerous contributions to Saturday's win. Madison Thomas posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds while Deadriana Prim totaled 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
On Friday, CCSF fell behind early and couldn't erase the deficit. Thomas had another double-double, this time with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Prim was solid with 16 points and 7 boards, while Mayfield added 5 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Malea Scobie chipped in with 8 points.
CCSF is now 2-1 overall after the weekend's action. The Rams return to the court on Wednesday (Nov. 22) when they travel to Hartnell College for a 5 p.m. game.
