A standout 2022-23 City College of San Francisco women's basketball will extend into the postseason. On Sunday, the Rams received the No. 6 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.

As a top-8 seed, CCSF earned a bye in the opening round and will host No. 22 Lassen Community College in a second-round game on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. The contest will be a part of a playoff doubleheader as the Rams men's basketball team is also set to host a second-round contest at 5:30 p.m.

Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game at Brad Duggan Court at the Wellness Center are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at the CCSF Tickets Page. The game will also be streamed live online for free by NorCalSportsTV.

The Rams surge into the playoffs as one of the hottest teams in the state having won 15 straight games. CCSF recently wrapped up its seventh consecutive Coast Conference North Division championship with a perfect 10-0 record and is 23-4 overall under head coach Derek Lau.

CCSF is in search of its first-ever state championship and will look to return to the state tournament for the first time since 2017. The Rams were state championship runner up in 2011 and have reached the state tournament Final Four in 2010, 2011, 2016, and 2017.

Lassen upset No. 11 Solano 57-52 in their first-round game on Wednesday. Lassen enters Saturday's contest with a 12-16 record and finished in fifth place in the Golden Valley Conference with a 2-8 mark.

The Rams began the season against the two possible opponents. CCSF was a 73-53 winner at home over Solano in both teams' opener and followed that with a 71-51 victory over Lassen to kick off the Sierra tournament.

Two wins are needed by the Rams to advance to the CCCAA State Championships on March 9-12 at West Hills College Lemoore in Lemoore.
