Coming off of their fourth straight season with a Coast Conference championship, the City College of San Francisco women's basketball team heads into 2019-20 with program expectations as high as ever.

Sophomore forwards Errayanna Hatfield and Vivian Woo will anchor a frontcourt that head coach Derek Lau expects to be just as quick and as athletic as last season. The Rams also expect incoming Freshmen Becca Tasi, Frankie Cornell, and Mikayla Amoroso to have immediate impacts on the court in their first year of college basketball.

After finishing last season 23-4 and falling to College of Sequoias in the final round of the NorCal Playoffs, Lau doesn't foresee his team's play on the court to look any different from what he saw in 2018-19.

"Our style of play will be similar to last year," Lau said. "We like to push the ball in transition, full court press the other team and make the game into a track meet. Solid man-to-man defense, with some physicality and mental toughness."

As a team last season, CCSF averaged 82 points per game, while shooting 44% from the field. The Rams also shot 31% from beyond the arc, while going undefeated at home.

Ranked #6 in the CCCWBCA polls in Northern California, City College will tip-off the season Friday night at San Jose City College, before preparing for next week's three-day Sierra College Tournament.

The Rams' home opener will be Friday, November 22nd, when they host Solano College at The Wellness Center.
