Rams' Record Moves to 6-3 After Fresno City Tournament

After winning 5 of their first 6 games this season, the City College of San Francisco's women's basketball team dropped 2 of 3 games this weekend in the Fresno City Crossover, losing to both host Fresno City and Merced College, while beating West Hills in a blowout, 63-39.

Sophomore forward Errayanna Hatfield scored 6, 19, and 15 points through the three games of the tournament, while sophomore guard Vivian Woo scored 9, 17, and 16.

Both players are leading the way for Rams' scorers so far this season, and both are averaging exactly 13.4 points per game. As a team, the Rams have averaged 60 points per game, through nine games.

"Even with the shortcoming with the outcomes, I felt like we really improved especially with a team that is not very experienced," Rams head coach Derek Lau said. "I felt like the sophomores really stepped up this weekend in leading the freshmen."

City will now turn their attention to Los Angeles, when they travel to face Long Beach City College in the opening game of the L.A. Valley College Tournament. The Rams will then return home and open the Golden Gate Classic on Friday, December 20th.
