Coach Derek Lau Wins 100th Career Game in Last Reg. Season Game

The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team closed the regular season with an overwhelming 95-19 victory over Ohlone College Renegades on Friday.

The Rams close their season with a 24-4 record and a 10-1 Coast-North Conference Record. The win also was head coach Derek Lau's 100th career victory.

The Rams opened the contest with a 15-2 run after six minutes had passed in first quarter. Gianna Duncan-Mosely scored the Rams' first eight points with two three-point field goals and a layup.  The Rams closed the quarter with a 25-5 lead.

CCSF's second quarter performance might have been their best of the year. The Rams held Ohlone scoreless for the entire second quarter. Their tenacious press and perimeter defense forced the Renegades to commit turnovers that led to points in transition for CCSF. By the end of the half, CCSF led 49-5

It was more of the same in the second half. The Rams outscored Ohlone 46-14.

CCSF had five players score in double figures including Caprice Taylor (10), Nia Illalio (10), Emani Hall (14), Duncan-Mosely (15), and Zakiya Willis (16).

Next week is the first round of the CCCAA NorCal Regional Playoffs. Playoff seating will be announced next week.
