Rams wrap up conference title, advance to 3C2A Dual Team State Championship

SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco sophomores dominated in their final home match of their careers. The five sophomores, as well as the rest of the Rams, posted their third consecutive shutout, beating visiting Fresno City College by a final score of 21-0 on Thursday.

CCSF improved to 11-0 overall and has held it opponents scoreless in eight of those contests.

Prior to the start of the Fresno City match, CCSF honored its five sophomores, Kelly Yau, Kayla Man, Carolyn Nguyen, Yuchu Huang, and Chloe Cai.

With the win, the Rams secured the Coast Conference and Northern California championship. CCSF will now take on undefeated South Coast Conference/SoCal champion Pasadena City College (12-0) in the 3C2A Dual Team State Championship on May 8 in Pasadena.

On May 3-4, the Rams will compete at the Coast Conference singles and doubles tournament at De Anza College.  The top 12 singles and 9 doubles teams will qualify for the 3C2A State Championships on May 9-11, also in Pasadena.

But up next, CCSF will close out the regular season with a match at Foothill College on Tuesday (Apr. 30) at 3 p.m.
