With the fourth meet of the season now concluded, the men's and women's track teams at City College of San Francisco have plenty of positive momentum to build on.

At The Beaver Relays on Saturday, hosted by American River College in Sacramento, Rams runners competed in both track and field events, highlighted by freshman Jose Salazar's first place finish in the 3000m Steeplechase, and freshman Hugo Busson's 2nd place finish in the men's 400-meter hurdles relay.

Meanwhile, freshman Timothy Lin was able to finish as high as 2nd place in the men's triple jump relay, while freshman Connor Kincaid finished 3rd in the discus throw relay. On the woman's side, sophomore sprinter Janice Conley finished 3rd in the women's 100-meter dash.

Conley, who is currently ranked in the top 10 in Northern California in three separate events; the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter dashes, has been drawing praise from City College coaches for continually improving on last season's personal best times.

Rams runners will now prepare for the Jack Albani Invitational, which is slated to take place at Modesto Junior College on Friday, March 13. The teams will then be right back at American River College for back-to-back meets on March 16 and 17, before travelling to Cupertino for the DeAnza Invitatonal on March 20.

April will be an even busier month with 11 meets scheduled before the teams start preparing for the Coast Conference Championships, starting on April 22. With the way the Rams have been running so far, they should be ready for the gauntlet of the bulky spring schedule, despite the fact that both teams have so many first-year runners.
