LAKE TAHOE – Xavier Alexander Elder's goal in the 83rd minute proved to be the game-winner for City College of San Francisco in the Rams' 2-1 non-conference win on Thursday over Feather River College.
Elder knocked in his state-leading sixth goal of the season. His 12 points this season also tops among all players in the state as well.
Anderson Jeovany Colocho Ortega scored in the 52nd minute off the assist from Lesperance Pierre to get the Rams on the board. Calvin Dang (70 minutes) and David Gallegos (20 minutes) combined for the win in goal.
CCSF improved to 3-1 overall. The Rams return to the field on Sep. 20 when they host Sant Rosa Junior College in their home opener. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
