CUPERTINO – City College of San Francisco couldn't keep momentum going after an amazing win on Friday and suffered a 2-1 Coast Conference North Division loss at De Anza College on Tuesday.

Unlike in their last contest, there wasn't enough late-game magic for the Rams.

At home against Skyline College on Friday, the Rams rallied to score three goals over the final minute of regulation and stoppage time to erase a 2-0 deficit and shock the Trojans to win 3-2.

CCSF, ranked No. 15 in the nation by United Soccer Coaches, faced the same situation on Tuesday at De Anza. The Rams trailed 2-0 late in the game but in the 87th minute, Georgi Stoyanov buried a penalty-kick goal in nearly the exact same moment as Friday.

De Anza wasn't having any part of the comeback and held on for the victory.

Goalkeeper Fernando Escobedo posted four saves for the Rams in a solid effort.

The loss dropped CCSF to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in Coast Conference North Division play. The Rams are back in action on Thursday (Oct. 13) when they host Monterey Peninsula in a 4 p.m. conference game.
