SAN JOSE – City College of San Francisco bounced back from a tough loss in its Coast Conference North Division opener with a narrow 1-0 win at Evergreen Valley College on Tuesday.

The victory improved the Rams to 6-2 overall.

Nestor Guarnero gave CCSF an early lead after his unassisted goal in the 15^th minute.

The two squads would battle for the remainder of the contest with neither team able to find the back of the net from that point on. Fernando Escobedo totaled 4 saves in goal to earn the Rams' third shutout of the season.

CCSF returns to Coast Conference North Division action on Friday (Oct. 7) at 4 p.m. when it hosts Skyline College.
