Sophomore Jesus Rangel scored a pair of goals and added an assist to help lead the City College of San Francisco to a 6-0 Coast Conference victory at Monterey Peninsula College on Friday.

With the win, the Rams improved to 6-5-2 overall and 3-3-1 in conference play. The victory also snapped a three-game winless streak.

Nestor Guarneros gave CCSF a 1-0 lead with a goal just moments before halftime in the 45th minute. The momentum carried over to the second as the Rams put up five more goals. Rangel and Stone Garland both scored twice and Jimmy Grajeda added a goal in the second-half surge.

Fernando Escobedo (30 minutes) and Isaac Alvarez (60 minutes) split time in goal for the shutout.

The Rams are back in action on Tuesday (Oct. 26) when they host West Valley College in a Coast Conference game.
