SAN FRANCISCO – Willie Williams came off the bench to score a team-leading 20 points for No. 5 state-ranked City College of San Francisco in its 80-75 win over visiting College of San Mateo in both teams Coast Conference North Division opener on Wednesday.
With the victory, the Rams improved to 13-4 overall and are 1-0 in the Coast North as they look to capture their 13th consecutive Coast Conference championship.
On Wednesday, CCSF overcame a 37-34 halftime deficit to pull out the come-from-behind win. The Rams outscored CSM (7-10, 0-1 CCND) 46-38 over the final 20 minutes.
CCSF got numerous contributions to the win. Miles Amos totaled 15 points and 6 rebounds while Mason Harris posted 13 points and a team-high 7 boards. King-Jhsanni Wilhite posted 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists and D'Aunte Johnson had 9 points and 8 boards.
San Francisco returns to action on Friday (Jan. 12) when the Rams travel to Chabot College for a 7 p.m. Coast Conference North Division game.
