No. 7 CCSF opens season with weekend wins over Marin, Santa Rosa

SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco men's basketball is officially back. The No. 7 state-ranked Rams began their road to another state championships with a pair of victories at home on opening weekend.

On Friday, CCSF kicked off the season with an impressive 113-84 rout of visiting College of Marin and followed that with a 90-70 win over No. 30 state-ranked Santa Rosa Junior College.

Freshman King-Jhsanni Wilhite led the Rams with 15 points in his CCSF debut on Friday against Marin. Freshman Ray John Spears scored 14 points and sophomore Willie Williams chipped in 13 points.

The Rams, now 2-0 overall, will look to keep the momentum going next weekend when they travel to Southern California for the three-day Alvin Hunter Classic at San Bernardino Valley College. CCSF is set to take on Santa Monica College on Friday (Nov. 10) at 5 p.m.
