Collis Galloway
Title: Defensive Line

Collis Galloway is entering his first season as the Defensive Line Coach at CCSF. A graduate of Lincoln High School in Stockton, CA, he was a multi-sport star, excelling as a League Champion in the Shot Put and being named the 1982 Male Athlete of the Year. On the football field, he played both Running Back and Nose Guard, earning 1st Team All SJAA league, 1st Team All Area, and 1st Team All Northern California honors. Galloway’s performance earned him a spot in the 1982 Lion's Central California All-Star Football Game, where he was named Defensive MVP.

Galloway’s football journey continued at San Joaquin Delta College, where he was recognized as 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All State, and a Junior College All American. After transferring to the University of the Pacific in Stockton, he played alongside notable figures like Head Coach Eduardo Y. Nuño, and was coached by legends such as Pete Carroll, Mike Martz, and Brad Seely. His teammates included Nick Holt, now the head coach of Skorpions Varese in the Federazione Italiana di American Football, and Hue Jackson, who joined Georgia State’s staff as Recruiting Operations Coordinator in June 2024.

During his time at the University of the Pacific, Galloway earned multiple prestigious awards: the Harry E. Kane Sr. Award for Most Valuable Defensive Lineman, the Ken Buck Award for the Leading Stockton Area Player, 1st Team All Conference All PCAA, and All America honors. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Public Relations.

Prior to joining CCSF, Galloway was the Defensive Line Coach at Edison High School in Stockton, where his coaching helped the team achieve five consecutive league championships. I  was selected as the 2019 Semper Fidelis Coach Award by the Marines. A recipient of a full athletic scholarship, Galloway has always been committed to giving back to his community. He has contributed to organizations like the Pacific Athletic Foundation, the Pacific Alumni Association, and the Boys & Girls Club’s Rites of Passage Mentoring Program in Stockton. He also volunteered for the Special Olympics from 1984 to 1988.

In 1992, Galloway served as the keynote speaker for the University of the Pacific Minority Job Fair and was a committee member for Upward Bound, continuing his efforts to support and inspire young athletes and students.
