CCSF falls 21-7 at No. 4 Fresno City

FRESNO – City College of San Francisco couldn't keep up with No. 4 state-ranked Fresno City College and suffered a 21-7 non-league defeat on Saturday.

The Rams are still in search of their first win and fell to 0-4 overall.

CCSF couldn't get much going offensively. The Rams totaled 190 yards and turned the ball over twice.

After a scoreless opening half, Fresno (4-0) rallied for a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to go out in front for good. CCSF was down 21-0 late before the Rams scored on a 33-yard TD pass from Eric Waugh to Aden Jackson with just 30 seconds remaining in the game.

Jalen Camp was solid on defense for CCSF, leading his squad with 10 tackles. He added a sack and had 2.5 tackles for loss.

The Rams totaled 5 sacks in the contest, getting two from Brayden Ellis and single sacks from Javonnie Haymon and Elijah Lawson. Chikala Warden also had a good game with 2 interceptions and 6 tackles.

The Rams will look to break through for their first win next Saturday (Oct. 6) when they travel to Sierra College for a 6 p.m. non-league game.
