SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco is still in search of its first win after falling 30-14 to No. 4 state-ranked Butte College on Saturday at George M. Rush Stadium.

The non-league loss dropped the Rams to 0-3.

CCSF actually led in the first quarter thanks to a huge play by the defense. Butte lead 6-0 late in the first quarter and was driving downfield for another score. On third-and-goal at the Rams' 6-yard line, Butte quarterback Marcus Beamon was strip-sacked by CCSF's Kahunu Kalahiki.  He scooped up the ball at the 8-yard line and went the length of the field 92 yards for a Rams touchdown.

San Francisco held a narrow 7-6 advantage at the 3:10 mark in the first but the Roadrunners went on to score the next 21 points to put the game out of reach.

Richard Washington ran in for a 20-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter to close out the scoring for the Rams.

CCSF was limited to 234 yards of offense, including 83 yards on the ground. Quarterback Eric Waugh was under pressure all game and was sacked five times. He completed 17 of 25 passes for 151 yards and had an interception.

Jalen Camp led the Rams' defense with 11 tackles. Kalahiki totaled 4 tackles, including the sack and fumble return. Javonnie Haymon also contributed a sack and 2 tackles.

CCSF plays next Saturday (Sep. 28) at Fresno City College in a non-league game. Kick off is set for 5 p.m. at Ratcliffe Stadium.
