Rams’ season ends with playoff loss at American River

SACRAMENTO – A promising 2023 City College of San Francisco football season came to a crushing end with the Rams' 41-6 loss at American River College in the Northern California Regional Playoffs semifinals on Saturday.

CCSF couldn't get much going offensively as Rams' six points and 218 total yards were both season lows. Jalen Henderson provided one of the few highlights in the contest, hauling in an 18-yard touchdown reception from Jack Miller midway through the third quarter.

Miller completed 23 of 40 passes for 245 yards with a TD and no interceptions. Hassan Mahasin had 8 of those receptions for 74 yards.

The Rams suffered losses in their final two games to close out the season with a 9-2 overall record. CCSF finished second in the Bay 6 League with a 4-1 mark. San Francisco made its return to the Northern California Playoffs after a one-year absence and also played in its 33rd consecutive postseason bowl or playoff game.
