SAN FRANCISCO – Quarterback Dorian Hale tossed 4 touchdown passes and ran in for a pair of TDs on his own to help lead City College of San Francisco to a 49-34 non-conference win over visiting Sierra College at George M. Rush Stadium on Saturday.

The two squads combined for 84 points and nearly 1000 yards of offense. Hale accounted for 386 yards on his big day. He completed 18 of 23 passes for 256 yards while running 19 times for a season-high 130 yards.

Hale got CCSF on the board, running in from 11 yards out to even up the score at 7-7 midway through the first quarter. Moments later, he gave the Rams a 14-7 advantage when he broke off a 54-yard touchdown run with 1:37 left in the quarter.

San Francisco and Sierra would battle in a tightly-contested game. Sierra had an answer every time the Rams scored as the Wolverines tied up the game on four occasions. The Rams took a 28-21 lead into halftime after Hale tossed his second TD, a 16-yard strike to Darius Bedford with 2:47 remaining in the second.

Sierra tied up the game one final time at 35-35 with 5 minutes left in the third quarter before the CCSF defense finally took over in the fourth to keep the Wolverines off the board.

Tyrei Washington gave CCSF the lead for good, running in for a 4-yard touchdown with 35 seconds left in the third for the go-ahead score.

Hale iced the victory with his fourth TD pass, a 52-yard reception by Max Rodarte with 11:04 left to play.

Bruce Uperesa (5 yards) and Dexter Simmons II (11 yards) also had TD catches from Hale.

Janari Boone led the Rams on defense with 6 tackles while K'aun Green was in on a pair of sacks and had 4 tackles.

CCSF will get a week off with a bye and returns to action on Oct. 14 to open National Bay 6 League play at home against San Joaquin Delta College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
