Rams dominant in 58-14 season-opening win at Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA – The depth of the City College of San Francisco offense was on full display in an impressive season-opening win at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Seven different Rams scored touchdowns while the offense totaled 652 yards in a dominant 58-14 victory over the Bear Cubs on Saturday.

Not to be outdone, the Rams' defense also shined as it held Santa Rosa scoreless all the way until the fourth quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Dorian Hale was impressive in his CCSF debut as he completed 15 of 21 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown. He also led the Rams on the ground, rushing for 123 yards on 9 carries with a pair of TDs.

Reserve QBs Teddy Booras (8 of 12, 117 yards, 1 TD) and Jack Miller (6 of 7, 89 yards) also contributed to the vicory. Miller added 63 yards rushing and a fourth-quarter touchdown run.

Tyrei Washington, Nathan Iskander, and Daytuawn Pearson ran for touchdowns while Max Rodarte and Jake Calcagno hauled in TD receptions.

The Rams' defense totaled 6 sacks, including a pair by Simeon Mitchell. He, along with Jalen Camp led CCSF with 6 tackles.

CCSF will look to keep the momentum going next Saturday (Sep. 9) when the Rams host Sacramento City College in its home opener at 1 p.m.
