The City College of San Francisco football team defeated the Sacramento City College Panthers 55-21 last Saturday to capture the Capital City Bowl.

CCSF was once again led by freshman running back Isaiah Floyd. Floyd ran for game-high 136 yards on 25 attempts and four touchdowns.

The Foothill high school alum also broke CCSF's single-season rushing mark set in 1997 by Kevin Brown. Floyd's season total of 1,797 rush yards shattered Brown's mark of 1,762 yards. Floyd also finished his historic season with 23 total touchdowns (21 rush,2 receptions).

Other key Rams' offensive contributors were sophomore quarterback Zach Masoli and sophomore wideout Leroy Elliot Jr. Mazola put in another strong performance, throwing for 295 yards on 22-of-26 attempts and two touchdown. He also ran for one touchdown. Elliot Jr. led the game in receptions (9) and receiving yards (130). Elliot Jr. also contributed on defense at the end of the first half when he intercepted Sacramento's quarterback Jayden Machado. For the day, the Rams' offense netted 452 total yards.

CCSF's defense also closed their season on a strong note. The Rams totaled five sacks. three interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and 12 tackles for losses. Sophomore linebacker Kobie Beltram led all CCSF defenders in tackles (6) and sophomore defensive back Bejour Wilson had one interception and four pass breakups. Wilson ends the season as the team-leader in interceptions with five.

The Rams end their season with an 8-3 record. Their 42.9 points per game average ranks them no.7 in the state. The defense finished first in the state in points allowed per game (15.1) and yards per game (229.5).
