The City College of San Francisco football team (4-1 Coast-North/7-3 Overall) defeated visiting Contra Costa College Comets 62-6 Saturday at CCSF.

The Rams' offense was on full display against an overmatched Comets defense. CCSF totaled 625 yards of total offense — 293 yards passing and 332 yards rushing. Quarterback Zach Masoli had one of his best performances of the year. The sophomore went complete 14-of-17 passes and threw for four touchdowns.

Freshman running back Isaiah Floyd led the ground attack for the Rams. He ran for a robust 224 yards on 15 attempts and two rushing touchdowns. This is the third time Floyd has surpassed the 200-yard mark. He currently has 1,661 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns. Floyd is 101 yards away from breaking CCSF's single season all-time rushing record held by Kevin Brown, who ran for 1762 yards in 1997

CCSF's defense held the Comets to just 225 yards of total offense. For the day, the defense totaled three sacks, one interception, one fumble recover, and a mind-boggling 18 tackles for losses.

The play of the game came early in the second quarter at the 14:06 mark. Sophomore defensive back Bejour Wilson stripped the ball out of the hands of Comets' wideout Semaj Mitchell and recovered the ball and returned it for a 73-yard touchdown to put the Rams up 28-0.

Other top performers include sophomore running back Calvin Tipton who ran for 62 yards and two touchdowns, Christian Tasi who led the Rams in receptions (3) and receiving yards (84), and hard-hitting defensive back Joey Banks who recorded a team-high seven tackles.

The City College of San Francisco football team (7-3) will play Sacramento City College (8-2) this Saturday, November 18 for the Capital City Bowl Game. This game will be held at Sacramento City College. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
