The City College of San Francisco football team opened their first National – Bay 6 Conference game with a 59-7 win over the Diablo Valley College Vikings (3-3) last Saturday in front of the home crowd.

The blowout victory increased the Rams' win streak to four games and improved their season record to 4-2.

The Rams got on the scoreboard early in the first quarter. Freshman linebacker Tarik Moore blocked a punt that was recovered by freshman defensive back Jemarurri Bailey at the Vikings' one-yard line, setting up freshman running back Isaiah Floyd's one-yard touchdown run on the ensuing play.

DVC tied the game up with less than eight minutes left in the first quarter when quarterback Jarrod Hoyer found wideout Devin McDaniels for a 47-yard-touchdown score – but this would be the last time the Vikings would score in the game.

The Rams kicked it into another gear after DVC tied the game, with Floyd at the helm of CCSF's attack. The freshman running back ran for 181 yards and scored four of the Rams' six touchdowns in the first half, including a highlight-reel, Barry-Sanders-esque run that resulted in a 65-yard score. He rushed for sixty more yards and ran for another touchdown in the second half before he was pulled from the game in the third quarter at the 13:15 mark. He finished the day with 241 rushing yards on 19 attempts and five touchdowns.

Amongst all the offensive fireworks, CCSF's defense put together another outstanding performance. The Rams allowed only 262 yards of offense (216 passing yards, 46 rushing yards), recovered three of four forced fumbles, and intercepted a pass. Linebacker Kobie Beltram led the Rams with 11 tackles.

Standout performers from Saturday also include sophomore quarterback Zach Masoli (226 passing yards, two touchdown passes), freshman wide receiver Frank Hall (121 receiving yards, one touchdown), and sophomore defensive back Micahel Lawson (three tackles, one interception).

The Rams Play Santa Rosa Junior College on October 21.
