The road to the conference title continues when state ranked No.8 CCSF Rams (4-2) host No.2 Santa Rosa Bear Cubs (6-0) this Saturday at George M. Rush Stadium.

The Rams come into this matchup after thoroughly beating the Diablo Valley College Vikings (DVC) last Friday 49-7. CCSF's imposing offensive line paved the way for a Rams backfield that that ran for a robust 377 yards on 40 rushing attempts. Sophomores quarterback Lavell McCullers and running back Namane Modise led the charge on the ground with 142 rushing yards and 137 rushing yards, respectively. McCullers, who ran for two touchdowns, also threw for 111 yards and three touchdown passes. One of McCullers' touchdown strikes was a 25-yard pass to sophomore Wideout Easop Winston, who increased his touchdown-reception streak to six games.

The defense was led by sophomore defensive tackle Maka Tameilau and freshman defensive back Josh Searle. Tameilau proved to be too much of an assignment for the Vikings' offensive line. He compiled two sacks and had tackles for losses of 21 yards. When DVC playmakers did find open space, they were quickly met by Searle, who totaled a game-high 11 tackles.

The Rams will face a Santa Rosa team that is coming off an impressive 34-0 win over Contra Costa College. In that game, the Bear Cubs compiled 477 yards of total offense (322 yards passing and 155 yards rushing). Quarterback Mitch Hood led the way for Santa Rosa. He threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns on 12-for-34 passing attempts and ran for one touchdown. On the other side of the ball, Santa Rosa's defense limited Contra Costa College to a miniscule 53 yards.

Saturday's game will be a battle between the Rams offense and the Bear Cubs defense. CCSF enters the game ranked No.1 in total offense (3178 yards) and No.2 in yards per game (529.7 yards). Santa Rosa's defense is No.1 in points per game allowed (9.5 points) and No.5 in yards per game allowed (253.2 yards).
