City College of San Francisco sophomore Owen Gallegos has been named the Northern California Pitcher of the Week by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) following an impressive starting effort on the mound for the Rams.

Gallegos, a right-hander originally out of Newark Memorial High School, went the distance last week against Chabot College. He allowed just one hit and an unearned run while striking out six batters.

He's been the Rams' top pitcher this season and is currently 5-5 overall with a 3.13 earned run average. Gallegos has struck out 52 batters over 60 1/3 innings (as of 4/13/23).
