HAYWARD – A rough stretch of the 2023 season continues for the City College of San Francisco baseball team. On Tuesday, the Rams totaled just four hits and committed four errors on the field in a 7-0 Coast Conference loss at Chabot College.

The Rams fell behind early, as Chabot posted three runs in the bottom of the first and two more in the second to put the game out of reach.

David Howard was tagged for all seven runs with only four being earned. He allowed nine hits and struck out five over his seven-inning effort. Jacob Olivia tossed a perfect eighth inning of relief with one strikeout.

The defeat dropped CCSF to 8-19 overall and 1-9 in conference play. The Rams will look to snap a 10-game losing streak on Thursday (Apr. 6) when the three-game Coast Conference set continues at Fairmont Field in Pacifica. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.

The finale is scheduled for Saturday (Apr. 8) back at Chabot with a 1 p.m. start.
