STOCKTON – The City College of San Francisco women's soccer team is just one win away from reaching the state championships for the first time since 2013.

On Wednesday, the No. 8-seeded Rams got one step closer thanks to an epic 2-1 upset victory in overtime at No. 1 San Joaquin Delta College in a second-round game of the Northern California Regional Playoffs.

The win was also special for head coach Jeff Wilson as he earned his 100th career victory. His current record is now 100-30-13 at CCSF.

Fatima Waldo Garcia's goal off a free kick in the 112th minute during the second overtime period was the game-winner to knock out the top-seeded Mustangs from the playoffs. Trailing 1-0, Paige Pineda Aliamus scored for the Rams in the 81st minute for the equalizer.

Paolina Molina totaled 5 saves in goal for CCSF.

San Francisco, now 15-5-2 overall, will next travel to No. 5 Cosumnes River College on Saturday (Nov. 25) for a third-round game with the winner advancing to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 1 & 3 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.

Cosumnes River (14-2-6 overall) was a 2-0 winner over No. 4 Sierra College on Tuesday in its second-round game to advance. CCSF and Cosumnes River will be meeting for the first time this season.
