No. 8 Rams advance with 2-0 win over No. 9 Skyline

SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco's postseason run continues thanks to the No. 8-seeded Rams' 2-0 win over visiting No. 9 Skyline College in Saturday's opening-round game of the Northern California Regional Playoffs.

CCSF will travel to No. 1 San Joaquin Delta College for a second-round contest on Tuesday.

The Rams improved to 14-5-2 overall after Saturday's victory. San Francisco took control of the game early thanks to a goal in the fifth minute by Paige Pineda Aliamus. Amaya Jarzombek sealed the game with her goal in the 30th minute.

Goalkeeper Paolina Molina posted 5 saves to complete the shutout, CCSF's 11th of the season.

Two more wins are needed by the Rams to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 1 & 3 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
