NorCal Regional Playoffs Bracket

The road to the women's soccer state championships begins this week for the City College of San Francisco women's soccer team. On Tuesday, the Rams received the No. 7 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.

No. 7 CCSF will host No. 10 Santa Rosa Junior College on Saturday (Nov. 20) at 2 p.m. in a Round 1 playoff game in San Francisco.

Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Tickets are available online at the CCSF Athletics website.

The Rams enter the postseason with a 15-3 overall record and were co-champions of the Coast Conference South Division with an 8-2 mark. CCSF has won nine of its last 11 games and outscored its opponents by a 32-6 margin over that span. The Rams have posted 10 shutouts on the year.

CCSF will be making its 11th consecutive postseason appearance, dating back to 2010. In 2019, the Rams advanced to the second round of the NorCal Playoffs. San Francisco will look to return to the CCCAA State Championships for the first time since 2013.

Santa Rosa brings an 11-7-2 overall record into Saturday's game and finished fourth in the Big 8 Conference at 6-4-1.

Saturday's contest will mark the second meeting of the season between the two squads. On Sept. 24 in Petaluma, the Rams defeated the Bear Cubs by a final score of 5-1. CCSF and Santa Rosa have also met twice over the past four seasons in the playoffs.

The winner of Saturday's game will likely face No. 2 seed Hartnell College (17-7-2) in Round 2 on Tuesday, Nov. 23. Hartnell will play either No. 16 Cañada College or No. 17 Yuba College in its opening-round game.

Three wins are needed by the Rams to advance to the CCCAA Soccer State Championships on Dec. 3 and 5 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
