No. 5 CCSF wins fifth straight, beats Evergreen Valley 5-0

Make that five straight shutout victories for the No. 5 City College of San Francisco women's soccer team. Freshman Kaila Calma scored twice while freshman Leslie Murillo recorded three assists to help lead the Rams to a 5-0 win over visiting Evergreen Valley College on Tuesday.

With the Coast Conference win, CCSF improved to 11-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

Nine of San Francisco's 11 victories have been shutouts. Goalkeeper Alexia Estrada posted five saves and the Rams' defense was untouchable once again.

Calma opened the scoring with an early goal in the fifth minutes and made it 2-0 Rams' lead with her second goal in the 19th minute. Gabriella Rodil's goal in the 22nd minute gave San Francisco a 3-0 advantage it would take into halftime.

Iliana Sanchez and Alexandra Aouxet Jara had second-half goals. CCSF has outscored it opponents by an amazing 53-5 margin this season.

The Rams are back in action next Tuesday (Oct. 26) when they travel to Hartnell College for a 4 p.m. Coast Conference game.
