SAN FRANCISCO – Tyrei Washington ran for 110 yards and caught a touchdown while Elias Williams scored a pair of defensive TDs to help lead City College of San Francisco to a 27-15 win over visiting Butte College on Saturday at George M. Rush Stadium.

The Rams continued their unbeaten start to the 2023 season and moved to 3-0.

CCSF trailed early in the contest before going ahead and pulling away for good in the third quarter.

Butte struck first as Butte's Janah Marcaida took the game's opening kick 94 yards for a touchdown. The Roadrunners missed the extra point kick and were quickly up 6-0. Butte made it a 9-0 lead in the first quarter after a 21-yard field goal.

The Rams finally found their rhythm in the second quarter. Washington hauled in a 15-yard TD pass from Hale to get CCSF on the board and cut the Butte advantage to 9-6.

Williams made his presence felt in the third. He scored on a fumble recovery in the end zone to give San Francisco the lead and added a 42-yard interception return for a touchdown to put the game out of reach.

Sandwiched in between was a 17-yard TD pass from Hale to Hassan Mahasin. Hale completed 15 of 23 passes for 231 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception.

Washington ran 18 times for 75 yards and also caught 2 passes for 34 yards and a TD. Jeremiah Crum led the Rams' receivers with 5 receptions for 110 yards.

Williams finished on defense with 9 tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception. Tyler Lepolo and Rocky Katoanga (1 sack, 3 TFL) both led CCSF with 9 tackles. Dylan Camp and Charles Cox III also hauled in interceptions.

CCSF returns to action next Saturday (Sep. 23) when the Rams travel to Fresno City College for a 5 p.m. non-league game.
