SAN FRANCISCO – Making its 32nd consecutive postseason appearance, City College of San Francisco closed out the 2022 football season by defeating College of the Sequoias 34-24 in the Golden State Bowl played at George M. Rush Stadium on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon.

The victory secured CCSF a 7-4 final overall record but it was the Rams that had to rally late to secure that win.

A pair of first-half touchdown runs by Shawn Allen (3, 23-yards), a 25-yard field goal by Joseph Oliveira, and a 7-yard TD pass from Jack Miller to Aaron Espero gave San Francisco a 24-10 lead heading into halftime.

After a scoreless third quarter, Sequoias came alive to tie things up in the fourth. A 36-yard run for a touchdown by COS quarterback Nathan Lamb evened up the score at 24-24 with 7:23 left in the contest.

On their ensuing drive, the Rams were able to use up over four minutes from the game clock. The drive stalled at the Giants' 16-yard line, but Oliveira connected for the go-ahead 25-yard field goal with 2:57 remaining.

Moments later, CCSF sealed the victory thanks to a 67-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Isaiah Revis with just 41 seconds to go.

Espero was named the Golden State Bowl Player of the Game after hauling in 10 receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown.

Miller took home Offensive Player of the Game honors after completing 22 of 36 passes for 261 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. He also ran 4 times for 13 yards.

On the other side of the ball, Tyler Lepolo was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Game thanks to his 13 total tackles in the contest.

Revis added 8 tackles to go along with his big interception return while Gabriel Iniguez had 3 sacks and 5 tackles.
