The men's basketball team at City College of San Francisco wasn't the only program that had to see a dream season cut short due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

At 10-0, with the best record in California, City College women's tennis was also unable to finish their season, with the CCCAA cancelling their final five regular season matches after their March 10 team victory over Monterey Peninsula College. That win would be the final time the Rams stepped on the tennis court in 2020.

"It was extremely disappointing for the Rams.  However, they took it in good stride as they all realize the bigger picture," Head coach Kelly Hickey said. "The Rams were not only top in the conference but arguably top in Northern California.  As I like to say they finished the season sheltering in first place."

No other team in California had a perfect record with double digit wins this season, with fellow undefeated squads Sierra College and Irvine Valley College both finishing 8-0, while Grossmont College finished 5-0 on the year.

In those 10 matches this season, CCSF lost only 14 total games as a team, while winning 68. They were also set to claim a Coast Conference title, with second-place Chabot College a distant 8-4  overall, with a 5-2 conference record. The Rams hosted the Gladiators at CCSF on February 25,  a matchup that City won 6-3, much to their head coach's delight.

"My favorite moment of the season was beating Chabot College," Kelly said, when asked about this year's high-point. "What made this team so successful was dedication, hard work, and belief."
