Eichen wraps up Rams season at State Championships

MONTEREY PARK – City College of San Francisco freshman Zoellen Eichen closed out the 2022 season with a 14th place finish in the women's 200-yard butterfly at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships. The three-day event at East Los Angeles College concluded on Saturday.

Eichen, originally out of Sequoia High School, competed in two events at the state finals.

Her best showing of the weekend came in the 200-yard butterfly. Eichen swam 2:33.03 in the prelims and went on to finish in 14th place overall with a time of 2:33.02.

Eichen also saw action in the 400 IM, racing to a time of 5:20.71 in the prelims to end in 18th place.
