Rams finish third at Coast Conference Championships

LIVERMORE – A squad of 13 City College of San Francisco swimmers totaled 354 points to finish in third place out of 12 teams at the 2022 Coast Conference Championships. The three-day event at Las Positas College in Livermore wrapped up on Saturday.

Individually, Zoellen Eichen was the Rams' top pointer earner of the weekend, as she totaled 46 points with three finishes among the top four. She was third in the 200-yard butterfly (2:38.52), fourth in the 400 IM (5:19.68), and fourth in the 100 fly (1:06.14).

Shera Campini earned 36 points towards the team standings. Her best finish on the weekend was a sixth-place showing in the 1,650-yard freestyle with her time of 22:48.61.

Other top individual finishes for the Rams included Mayee Duong in the 100 fly (5th, 1:15.81), Shannon Fracchia-Santelli in the 200 breast (8th, 3:18.18), Sima Kassianik in the 1,650 free (7th, 22:48.62), Winnie Kong in the 400 IM (7th, 6:37.72), Lan Pham in the 200 breast (9th, 3:15.02), and Melanie Poncet in the 1,650 free (8th, 23:15.07).

In relays, CCSF took third place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:53.57. The Rams also put together another third place showing in the 800-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 9:29.95. And in the final event of the meet, CCSF finished fourth in the 400 free relay with a time of 4:14.49.

Up next for the Rams in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships set for May 5-7 at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park.
