Rams snap losing skid with sweep of Las Positas

SAN FRANCISCO – City College of San Francisco put an end to a four-match losing streak thanks to a 3-0 sweep of visiting Las Positas College on Friday.

The Rams wasted little time in taking the match by scores of 25-20, 25-11, and 25-11. CCSF improved to 6-4 overall.

Vanessa Semien led the Rams on offense with 9 kills to go with 12 digs. Jennifer Mata'u had a solid all-around match with 7 kills, 18 assists, and 16 digs. Anivaolegai-Moors Tafilele posted 8 kills, a team-high 22 digs, and 4 aces.

Josie LesCallett added 18 assists while Kayla Man totaled 18 digs.

The Rams return to action next Wednesday (Oct. 19) at 6:30 p.m. when they open Coast Conference South Division play at home against West Valley College.
