Rams win 7 of 11 events at Hartnell Quad Meet

SALINAS – It was another impressive day for the City College of San Francisco women's swimming team.

Led by three first-place finishes by freshman Sophia Tran, the Rams went on to capture 7 of 11 events against competitors from Cabrillo College, College of San Mateo, and host Hartnell College at the Hartnell quad meet on Friday.

Tran won the 400-yard IM, 200-yard breaststroke, and the 200 IM. Tran, who competed in the 400 IM for the first time, swam 5:05.70 which is currently the 10th fastest time in the state.

Tran also helped lead the 800-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relay teams to victories as well. She teamed up with Serawit Ezra, Remy Dizon, and Brianna Carino for both relay events.

Ezra won the 200-yard backstroke while taking third in the 200 IM. And Dizon was a winner in the 100-yard freestyle.

CCSF returns to the pool on Mar. 29-30 for the two-day Las Positas College Hawk Invitational in Livermore.
