The no.5 City College of San Francisco women's soccer team (15-2-2)will host no.13 San Joaquin Delta College Mustang (11-7-4) on Tuesday for the second round of the CCCAA Northern California Regionals.

The Rams are coming fresh off a convincing 3-0, home-playoff win over Butte College last Saturday. The Rams were led on offense by sophomore midfielder Angelica Gonzalez, who scored off an assist by freshman midfielder Ileana Mercado at the 23rd minute and scored an unassisted goal at the 82nd minute. Mercado also scored a goal at the game's 90th minute off an assist by freshman forward Sofia Jones.

On defense, freshman goalkeeper Michelle Gonzalez led the way. She saved four shots, and in the process posted her eighth shutout of the season.

The Delta Mustang are coming off a 1-0 victory over no.4 Las Positas College last Saturday. Delta's freshman goalkeeper Amanda Leal proved to be the key in the upset win over Las Positas. Leal blocked all seven shots on goal against the Coast-North Conference champions. Leal's outstanding performance allowed Delta to finally breakthrough at the game's 55th minute when sophomore midfielder scored off an assist by Leal.

Tuesday's game will be a matchup between CCSF's offense and Delta's defense. The Rams come into this game with 57 goals and 143 shots on goal, ranking them 20th and 15th in those respective categories. Delta's defense allowed only 24 goals and their 10 shutouts rank them 17th in the state.
