Rams Close Regular Season with 7-0 Win Over Ohlone

The City College of San Francisco women's soccer team closed out the regular season Friday with a dominating 7-0 win over visiting Ohlone College.

The Rams put the game away early in the first half. Freshman forward Sofia Jones scored CCSF's first two goals at the 4th and 9th minutes to put the Rams up 2-0.

The early scoring didn't stop there for CCSF. Sophomore forward Danielle Nictoera scored at the 16th minute off an assist by freshman forward Ally Burton. The Rams closed the half up 3-0.

The rams continued their offensive onslaught in the second half. Nicotera scored her second goal of the game at the 48th minute. The highlight play of the game came at the 66th minute when sophomore midfielder Angelica Gonzalez sent a bending corner kick just past Ohlone's keeper to push the lead up to 5-0.

The Rams scored two more goals to close out the game. Jones netted her hat-trick goal at the 69th minute off an assist Burton. At the 70th minute, Burton scored an unassisted goal, putting the Rams up 7-0.

CCSF closes the regular season with a 14-2-2 record (8-1-2 Coast-North). Playoffs brackets will be released in the coming days.
