Rams win two at Sierra Crossover, improve to 4-1

ROCKLIN – The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team improved to 4-1 on the season after a pair of wins over the weekend at the Sierra College Crossover.

On Friday, the Rams opened with an 83-75 victory over Fresno City College and followed that with a 63-46 triumph against College of the Redwoods.

The Rams were led by the dynamic duo of sophomore Madison Thomas and freshman Alessandra Nelson. Thomas totaled 42 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists, and 6 steals. Nelson was just as good with 40 points, 17 boards, 7 assists, and 5 steals.

Nelson and Thomas both had double-doubles in the Fresno City win. Nelson led with 23 points and 14 rebounds while Thomas totaled 19 points and 12 boards.

Malea Scobie added 12 points.

Saturday saw Thomas dominate with 23 points and 6 assists. Nelson added 17 points, and To'shia Reynolds posted 7 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The Rams are back in action at home on Wednesday (Nov. 27) when they host Hartnell College in a 4 p.m. game.
