Big first quarter lifts CCSF to 79-48 win over De Anza

The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team continued its strong start to the 2021-22 season on Wednesday as a 31-point opening quarter helped the Rams cruise to a 79-48 victory over visiting De Anza College. The win improved CCSF to 5-1 overall.

The Rams took a commanding 31-11 lead after the first quarter and was up 49-22 at halftime.

Four Rams scored in double figures, led by 14 points from Talo Li-Uperesa and Tuiela Tuiasosopo. Li-Uperesa added 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, and 3 steals to her impressive night.

Rianna Lee totaled 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks while Kaela Stonebarger chipped in with 10 points and 3 steals.

CCSF returns to action on Tuesday (Dec. 30) when it travels to Cabrillo College for a 5 p.m. game.
