CCSF Rams Win Streak at 10

The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team defeated the Las Positas College Hawks (4-5 Coast-North/6-16 Overall) 74-44 on Friday at CCSF.

The Rams improve their overall record to 23-3 and remain undefeated in conference play at 10-0.

The Rams dominated the game from the start with their fast-paced style of play and smothering defense, jumping to a 21-6 lead by the end of the first quarter.

CCSF continued to push the pace against the Hawks the next two quarters and ended the third quarter with an insurmountable 58-23 lead.

CCSF's Ma'Ata Makoni was instrumental to the Rams quick start. She scored all 14 of her points in the first half. She also led her team in rebounds with eight.

Guard Caprice Taylor, who averages over 20 points per game, put up a game hight 17 points. Guard Emily Nepomuceno also added 13 points, and was particularly deadly from three-point range by hitting 4-of-7.

The Rams will travel to Skyline College next Wednesday for a 5 pm game.
